Media files
The animator has three folders on the device which holds various media. They are short phrases or sounds in three different folders.
- Intro
- Bigfoot
- Ending
The Intro folder contains phrases like “Did you hear something?” and “I heard there’s a Bigfoot in these woods.” These phrases are played before Bigfoot even appears.
The Bigfoot folder contains Bigfoot sounds that play when he appears or disappears.
The Ending folder contains phrases like “Let’s get out of here!” and “I think he’s lonely.” These phrases are played after Bigfoot leaves.
The sounds are played randomly throughout the animation. Both the frequency and the specific sounds are randomized, and sometimes no sound is played at all. This keeps the animation feeling natural, fluid, and less repetitive.
Creating media files
You can customize your device by adding your own media to your Animator Bigfoot. Short phrases work best for the animation because they help maintain the element of surprise and keep the action moving.
Animator Bigfoot has onboard flash memory with limited storage capacity, so choose the best phrases and sounds you can think of.
To add your own audio, first convert your files to MP3 format with a sample rate of 22,050 Hz and a bitrate of 24 kbps. The audio files must be stereo.
You can do this with audacity a free application. https://www.audacityteam.org/
Once you have installed audacity open the music file that you want to put on the animator.
Then go to the file menu and choose export/export as mp3. On the export audio screen, change the sample rate to 22050 and the quality to 24 kbps as shown.
Note: Your screen might be different than the one below. See audacity documentation for details.

Then save the files to the folders on your computer named intro, bigfoot or ending. These will be moved to the animator later.
Repeat this for the rest of your songs.
